Generate additional cash flow to get more bling

by Mark Walker on April 13, 2008

Now, please understand, I am not advocating working your ass off just to spend ALL of your cash on trinkets and have nothing left. This mentality will only send you broke or, at best, you will get to retirement with little or no money and no way of generating any additional income.
What I am advocating, is that life is meant to be lived, but you have to plan for the future just in case you make it there and find out Bush hasn’t blown up the planet and you need cash to live.
I am going to use words that have been taken from many financial wizards such as Warren Buffet, John Templeton and many other financialy fit people.
The number one thing I can say that really works is this; “spend les than you earn and invest the rest”. Now here’s the rub, what if you are just a regular bloke like most of us and have no idea how to invest! Well, that brings me to lesson number 2; “work hard in your job and make a good living, work hard on yourself and make a fortune”. What does this mean? Well, it means that you have to find a way of working on your gaps. Simple gaps like what you know now about investing and what you need to know. Gaps like, what are the differences, between a multi billionnaire and myself.

What is needed is total honesty and the understanding that wherever you are TODAY is a direct result of your surroundings AND your mental attitude. You are, today, a direct result of what you have done and thought, in the past. Do you think that doing the same things will get you any more or provide just the same?
This is where you need to start thinking and acting differently. Get off the “keeping up with the neighbours” treadmill and start to look at what very wealthy people do. What you need to start thinking is what you want to BE in the future and then find the ways of being that person. Its not have, do, be but rather be, do, have. As a great Mentor of mine Mr Keith Cunningham has said on more that one occasion, we are human beings NOT human doings.

I will be writing more on this subject in the future and can assure you that I am absolutely and totally committed to helping you become who you are really destined to be.

On that note, just for now, remember these 2 things and start being who you want to be;

1/ “work hard in your job, make a good living, work hard on yourself, make a fortune”

2/ “spend les than you earn and invest the rest”
